This November, for my 18th birthday, my parents took me to Prague, Czech Republic as a special treat. I had a brilliant time and collected some beautiful photographs in the city, along with some fond memories, chocolates and postcards. It was the first time that I had been to Czech Republic, which really interested me with the architecture and sense of antiquity in the city. I also got to meet a good friend here, and saw the landmarks like the Astronomical Clock, Charles Bridge, and Prague Castle.
At some point I’d like to try my hand at writing something set in the Czech Republic, as having a friend that lives there has interested me, and my trip was filled with beauty. A lot of research would have to go into this, but I think it would make an interesting contrast to my other novels that are set in places like America and England.
Hopefully I can go again in the summer of 2017! I’m already planning in my head my trip to Rome, so let’s see how my travels and future freedom as a travelling writer can inspire me. 😉
